Garmin Cervelo cyclist Matt Wilson has been forced to withdraw from the first year Tour of Beijing, which begins tomorrow. The Australian crashed reportedly suffered a crash during a Garmin Cervelo training ride in China today and broke his hand. Reports state that Wilson’s bike went over an spot of oil on the road, causing him to crash.

Brazilian rider Murilo Fischer who signed with Garmin-Transitions earlier this year has just prolonged his contract with the American team for another two years. “I am very pleased with what I have found here. (Garmin-Transitions) did not start on stage 3 of Tour de France today after breaking a few ribs in a crash on yesterday’s stage 2.
