Quick Step Cycling team released a team statement today that confirmed that current French National Road Champion, Sylvain Chavanel has signed a contract that will keep him on their Belgian based team. Gert Steegmans our of Tour de Picardie
Gert Steegmans from Team Quick Step did not start the third stage of the Tour de Picardie today, due the fall he suffered yesterday at about 15 kilometers from the finish. Steegmans has gone back to Belgium and this afternoon X-rays taken revealed a fracture to his seventh left rib.

Quick-Step’s Paris Roubaix Line-up
The 2011 edition of the Paris Roubaix will take place on Sunday on an hard route of 258 km with 51,5 km of cobblestones.
